REMEI HDPE Sets Global Benchmark with 11 National Standards Compliance — Including Breakthrough 'Plastics Recycling Design Guide'

11 National Standards Including "Plastics – Design Guide for Recycling and Reuse" Released — Plastic Recycling Standard System Established, REMEI HDPE First to Comply, Setting a New Benchmark with Strength!
On September 5, 2025, at the ChinaReplas2025 – The 8th China International Plastics Recycling Exhibition held at the Ningbo International Conference & Exhibition Center in Zhejiang, 11 national standards including Plastics – Design Guide for Recycling and Reuse were officially released. Jointly promoted by the National Technical Committee on Plastics of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 15) and the China Synthetic Resin Association (CSRA), these standards are set to take full effect on February 1, 2026. This milestone marks the initial establishment of China’s plastic recycling standard system, providing essential support for high-quality and standardized development across the industry.
Among the newly released standards, Plastics – Design Guide for Recycling and Reuse serves as the core standard. Starting from the product design phase, it systematically specifies technical requirements for material selection, structural design, and labeling of plastic products. The goal is to significantly enhance the recyclability and reuse rates of plastic products and promote a green, closed-loop model throughout the entire industrial chain.
REMEI HDPE Products Take the Lead in Compliance, Demonstrating Technical Leadership and Responsibility
The introduction of the new national standards has set clear technical thresholds and development directions for the industry. Notably, industry leader REMEI has already completed the compliance upgrade for its high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products. Evaluation results confirm that REMEI HDPE fully meets the requirements of Plastics – Design Guide for Recycling and Reuse and other relevant national standards, making REMEI one of the few companies in the industry to achieve such alignment ahead of schedule.
This achievement stems from REMEI’s long-term commitment to technological innovation and green development:
Design First: Ecological design principles are integrated at the early stages of product development. From molecular structure and additive selection to final product form, the philosophy of “easy to recycle, suitable for reuse” is thoroughly implemented.
Refined Processes: Through purified raw materials and optimized processing techniques, REMEI ensures its HDPE products exhibit low impurity levels and high consistency, greatly reducing the challenges associated with recycling.
System Collaboration: REMEI actively engages in industrial chain cooperation, collaborating with recycling companies and manufacturers to establish a circular model of “green design — efficient recycling — high-value application.”
From Compliance to Leadership: Advancing the Construction of a Plastic Recycling Ecosystem
REMEI’s early compliance with the new national standards not only reflects the company’s technical strength but also highlights its role as an industry leader:
Promoting Standard Implementation: Providing a technical benchmark for peer companies, accelerating the promotion and implementation of the new national standards across the industry.
Enhancing Recycling Value: High-quality HDPE raw materials can significantly improve the quality and expand the application range of recycled plastics, driving the industrialization of the circular economy.
Strengthening Green Branding: Assisting downstream customers in developing environmentally friendly products and jointly supporting the national “Dual Carbon” strategy.
Building a Recycling System Together, Creating a Green Future
With the full implementation date of February 1, 2026 approaching, China’s plastics industry is accelerating its transition toward standardization and green development. REMEI will seize the opportunity presented by the release of the new national standards to further deepen technology R&D, participate in industry standard formulation, and work with all stakeholders to promote the improvement and application of the plastic recycling standard system.
In the future, REMEI will continue to uphold the philosophy of “Maximizing Plastic Use, Recycling and Reusing,” collaborating with the industrial chain to contribute professional expertise to national efforts in plastic pollution control and ecological civilization construction.
